STUART, Fla. (January 30, 2008) – Greenblock® Worldwide Corporation (www.greenblock.com) announced today that the “New Southern Home” featuring Greenblock ICF exterior walls has been awarded “Best Large Residential Project ” by ICF Builder Magazine. The ICF Builder Awards competition is a nationwide annual event designed to showcase the innovation, quality, and energy-efficiency of ICF construction, and promote them as a sustainable, durable and attractive building material.

The 12,200 square foot 2007 New Southern Home debuted at the Southeast Building Conference in Orlando. The home features super energy-efficient exterior walls constructed from Greenblock’s Insulated Concrete Form Wall Systems.

The 12,200 square foot New Southern Home in Orlando, Fla. is a showcase project featuring the design, luxury and technology that has set the pace for future home lifestyles of the southern United States. The home features the latest and most innovative products available in the marketplace.

Krantz Construction Corporation www.krantzconstruction.com, owner and GC of the project, was on hand to receive the award during a ceremony held at the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas last week. “All of the finalists were extremely impressive projects”, said Krantz. “To be selected as the winner from this group is truly an honor”.
“One of the main goals for the New Southern Home was to be as environmentally friendly, or ‘green,’ as possible,” continued Krantz. “We chose ICFs for the exterior walls of the house because of their extreme energy-efficiency.
