Greenblock insulated concrete forms to be showcased at the New Southern Home 13,000 square foot demonstration house during the conference

Greenblock offers a full ICF product line including fixed web blocks in six - and eight-inch core widths along with assemble-on-site panel systems in four, six, eight and 12-inch core widths. Greenblock is the only ICF company to offer in-house installation services featuring certified employee crews, company owned trucks and wall alignment systems.
The Greenblock 2-4-2™ insulated concrete form is an industry first as this form creates a four-inch concrete core wall with two-inch expanded polystyrene forms on the interior and exterior of the wall. This ICF is eight inches wide, which is important to developers and contractors in the southeast as this is the width of the commonly-used concrete block. Greenblock’s 2-4-2™ ICF eliminates the need for costly and time consuming edits of building plans while providing builders and homeowners with the superior benefits of ICF wall construction.
Greenblock's reputation as the "toughest block in the industry" derives from its design origins in Europe over 40 years ago. Web ties on six-inch centers, a Lego-type connection system, interior dovetail channels and a flat wall design create walls that are “straight, level and plumb” with optimal strength and concrete flow requiring minimal bracing.
Greenblock’s reputation as an industry leader and its commitment to superior installation services are the reasons why it was selected to construct the exterior walls of the New Southern Home, the showcase home of the SEBC featuring the design, luxury and technology which will set the pace for the lifestyle of the South. This 10,200+ square foot house is constructed with six-inch, steel reinforced solid concrete walls which were built using Greenblock’s popular six-Inch Fixed Web ICF. This exterior wall system will provide a consistent and stable thermal rating equivalent to a R-50 in a hollow concrete block house, a sound transmission classification of 50+ (outside noises are completely inaudible) and the strength to withstand hurricane-force winds of 200+MPH.
The house has six bedrooms, seven full baths, four half baths, a media room, a recreation room, craft room and multiple garages. The exterior boasts a shingle-style finish which is complemented by decorative stone masonry and oversized columns. All the exterior finishes were directly applied to the Greenblock forms without the need of additional applications or sheathing.
With manufacturing facilities in Ft Walton Beach and St Petersburg, Florida, and with a distribution warehouse and Lite-Deck™ manufacturing facility in Port St. Lucie Florida, Greenblock is ideally positioned to provide short delivery lead times and lower freight rates to builders, contractors and home buyers throughout the Southeastern United States.
