Insulated Concrete Forms are stay-in-place forming products for cast-in-place concrete walls. The actual ICF has no final structural value for the wall. It is the steel-reinforced concrete that is cast between the polystyrene foam panels that is the structural component. Strictly speaking, there is no difference from a traditional cast-in-place concrete wall. Concrete walls, including ICF walls, are typically designed according to the current "ACI 318 Design Code".
