Application Usage

Historically, ICF application usage has been somewhat dependant on which part of the country the project is in. For southern/warmer climates the usage has been primarily above grade and competing against concrete block construction. For northern/cooler climates the product has generally been used in more below grade applications to offer an insulated basement to homeowners. However, as homeowners and building professionals begin to realize the enormous advantages of ICF construction, the trend is definitely toward building the "total envelope", with ICF's being used from the basement to the rafters.
